{"id":148,"date":"2025-02-16T23:25:13","date_gmt":"2025-02-16T23:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/accramothersunion.org\/?p=148"},"modified":"2025-02-17T01:41:07","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T01:41:07","slug":"january-2025-visit-to-st-thomas-anglican-church-otaten","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/accramothersunion.org\/?p=148","title":{"rendered":"January 2025 visit to St. Thomas Anglican Church, Otaten"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On <strong>19th January 2025<\/strong>, the <strong>Mothers\u2019 Union of the Accra Diocese<\/strong> paid a heartfelt visit to <strong>St. Thomas Anglican Church, Otaten<\/strong>, bringing joy and support to the congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, <strong>President Mother Wilhelmina Graves<\/strong> led the presentation of various essential items to the church. These included <strong>rice, cooking oil, tomato pur\u00e9e, mackerel, drinks, biscuits, sanitary pads, and used clothing<\/strong>, among other donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to a <strong>special appeal for the construction of a church building<\/strong>, the Union contributed generously towards the project, demonstrating their commitment to the growth of the faith community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Children\u2019s Service<\/strong> added a special touch to the occasion, delighting the mothers with <strong>heartwarming songs and Bible verses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>Mothers Provencal and Chikwendu<\/strong>\u00a0also\u00a0<\/span>made significant contributions by presenting the church with a <strong>Communion bowl and a drum<\/strong>, both of which were received with deep gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>celebrant, Canon Mensah Commey<\/strong>, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Mothers\u2019 Union for their <strong>visit, gifts, and generous support<\/strong>. He commended the Union for <strong>adopting the church<\/strong> despite its small size and for extending such <strong>genuine care and kindness<\/strong>. In closing, he prayed for <strong>God\u2019s continuous blessings<\/strong> upon each member of the Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit was a <strong>testament to the Union\u2019s mission of love,
